“Bleak, stark and very atmospheric. Post apocalyptic, this is almost poetic, McCarthy writes in a unique way, how he uses less words than most authors and get so much more.
This is not for the depressed. A Father and Son travel towards what they hope will be warmth, sunlight and food, survival.
This has all the sentiment stripped away, leaving grim and harrowing reading. One I won’t forget in a hurry.
